“What brand of boards would you recommend that have good balance and flotation but can still shred and turn. Because i have a fish that is good but it isn’t as whippy as i would like.”

Hey man, depending on how high performance you want to get, the best shapers like Simon Anderson have the eye for the finer details and never make a dud board. A half-fish is a good option (not as wide as a full-on fish), it will still give you a bit of stability and floatation, if you go for a slightly wider short board a short board designed for small waves, they are generally more wippy and hold the face of the wave better than a fish.
Have fun
