I have noticed lately that I need my front foot is facing forward (as apposed to pointing to the rails or across the board)to gain speed/ drive down the line. When I put my foot across the board I tend to loss speed or stall while trying to drive down the line. My question is: what is the proper foot placemnet fhile driving down the line for speed?
Christo’s reply:
Thanks for the question.
It really depends on where your weight falls, when you are driving down the line for speed you need to get more weight forward on your board (in front of the centre point of the board and by angling your foot to face the front of the board a bit (not pointing at the rails) means you can transfer your weight forward easier.
So, front foot facing forward is great for gaining speed, about a 45 degree angle not more.
Have fun
